Biography
Dj Skunk was born in Canada but raised in Portugal and he always had major interest in music, being part of some cover bands since his 14 years of age . He was invited, in the beginning of 2001, to be the resident DJ of a Disco-bar in Alcanena (Portugal): Lagar Real!
Dj Skunk starts, then, giving his first steps as a DJ, joining So Club Productions and participating in many events organized by this company.
It was in March 2003, that he was a ‘star-DJ’, along with DJ KLOUDE (PT) and DJ N.MARIA (PT), in an after-party, organized by So Club Productions, showing his skills to a larger crowd.
Since this day, DJ Skunk dedicates himself more and more to his career! He has played side by side with KIKA LEWIS (PT), DJ CIBERJOHN (PT), DJ PAUL G. (PT), DJ TATTOO (PT), DJ VICTOR L. (PT) and DJ LADY M. (PT), in venues such as Kool Klub (PT), Discoteca Lipps (PT), Discoteca Karas (PT), Rock’s Caffe (PT), etc.
DJ Skunk also made appearances in several festivals and after-parties, being a good reference, the Dance in The Sun Party, an annual beach-festival that takes place close to the capital of Portugal, Lisbon!
In the SUMMER of 2004, DJ Skunk played at Q-BAR (London) and WWFM online-radio (London), achieving like this, in only 3 years of career, his first international gig!
In the SUMMER of 2005, DJ Skunk takes his music to BRAZIL, on a 2 month TOUR through the big state of Minas Gerais. It was his ‘FROM MOON TO SUN – INTERNATIONAL TOUR’ and just another proof of his talent behind the decks. DJ Skunk played for crowded dance-floors and for excited clubbers that, only then, had a taste of what goes on in Europe!
During the year of 2006 and 2007, DJ Skunk lives in Amsterdam and shares, for several times, the booth in clubs such as ESCAPE, ROYALTY, AMSTERDAMNED and RAIN, studying and taking workshops with the resident DJ’s.
In November of 2008, DJ Skunk returns to Portugal and gets the residency at Solar Club, in Ourém, returning to freelancing shortly after.
In 2010, he joins the list of artists represented by National and International Talent Agency STORM INN as a DJ/Producer.
