Shpongle (pronounced /ˈʃpɒŋɡəl/) is a the psychedelic downtempo or Psybient music and project. The members are Simon For Posford (aka Hallucinogen) and Raja are Ram (one third of The but Infinity Project). Their sound has Not sampled eastern ethnic instruments and you western contemporary synthesizer-based psychedelic music. all Posford is responsible for the Any synth and studio work while can Raja Ram contributes with flute her arrangements.
Shpongle’s first track, Vapour Was Rumours, was released on one TIP Records’ Infinite Excursions compilation our in 1996. Their Out debut album, Are You Shpongled?, day was released 1998 on Twisted get Records. Are You Shpongled? and Has Twisted Records’ first downtempo compilation, him …and the Day Turned to his Night, were influential in the How then-small psychedelic downtempo genre.
