Biography
All begins at a very early age. His liking for music gets him to join various kinds of music groups, interpreting voices and percussion, and earning significant recognitions in local contests and festivals. He also has the chance to experiment real studio work when recording a LP. Later on, his music preferences included rock groups and he begins to be familiar with electronic music foundations through Pink Floyd and starts doing research discovering many groups developing new electronic sounds like Soda Streo, Estados Alterados, Depeche Mode, Chemical Brothers, Gustavo Cerati, Garbage, among others. A new way to express music with many different sounds was being born.
Few years passed and those beats began to turn out for house music, and was at that time when the entire Dj carrier began to take place with the guidance of great, professional and important teachers such as Boom Cardona, Noizzer and Mauro Pierotti. He begins playing at Mlaga Club for 2 months and forms a duo called ‘Electromart’ with Dj Angel Mart, getting the residency at Flow Club on ‘Electronic Wednesdays’ for 4 months. Soon after he joins Pharmacy Club as a staff resident, switching with Click Cocktails where he works now as an independent Dj.
During his carrier he has been invited to very important clubs, bars and festivals such as House Infection (Germany), Housexy (Ministry Of Sound), Summer Dance Festival, Earthdance Festival, El Cha Cha (Bogota), Spazio44, El Deck, Pharmacy Club, Púrpura (Cartagena), Clubsonica (Cali), Carnival, Living Club (Bogota), Roxy, La Kasa, Alzina, Tropical Cocktails, Mantra (Cartagena), Casa En El Aire, Circus, Flow, Malaga, B-Lounge, Elektra, Click Cocktails, Like Me (Bogota), La Cofrada and Mr Cocktail.
He has also had the chance to share sets with international Djs like Andy Moor, Thomas Penton, Felipe Kaval, Austin Leeds, Francis Davila, Joy Marquez, Scott Anselmo, Armand Pena, Rui Dasilva, Chily, and important local Djs such as Mario Ochoa, Lopera, Boom Cardona, Kriss Salas, Roy, Deep Jay Project, DC Project, Alejandro Vengoechea, Mikehouse, Jaime Quijano, Angel Mart, Bastian, Beatbrothers, Serrato, to name a few. His sets are distinguished for carrying a fine mix of house, progressive house and other electro glints.
Since April 2007 he was chosen as the Adidas Official Dj in Colombia to perform in events and stores for this important brand.
Now a days he is developing a new concept called ‘Eventos Matt House’ dedicated mainly to make electronic music events, prevailing the fusion of good music, culture, atmosphere, entertainment and support to new coming talents.
