Biography

Born in 1981 Kristina Lalic moved to the city of Belgrade from Canada. Music has been her love and passion from an early age. Kristina graduated music school in the piano department, besides that she studied ballet and sang in the choir. Growing up in a musical family surrounded by various genres of music, in the early 90’s Kristina fell in love with the electronic music scene and DJ-ing itself. Besides her work on television as production coordinator, Kristina started working as a sound technician and music editor on a regional radio station. The idea for her own radio show was realized in September 2005 and she became an author and host of “Belgrade Clubbing”, a show presenting new and upcoming releases from various genres of electronic music, interviewing DJ’s and providing information about club life in Belgrade. "Belgrade Clubbing" gained regional fame. She decided to do weekly mixes called “Essential Tracks of the Week" made after every show with supported tracks gaining international listeners. The show was successfully aired till September 2010, when Kristina decided to focus more on DJ-ing and taking first steps in producing electronic music herself. First collaboration was born between her and French DJ Rod Debyser in 2008. They worked together on a remix for Electroholix-Adiction, released on Noobish Records. Her active involvement in the electronic music scene started in 2009 in Belgrade, developing her DJ skills by playing regular DJ sets at local nightclubs around the city. Her first guest mixes were aired on Frisky and Proton radio and after that many more came. In 2010 and 2011 she performed on one of the stages at the Exit Festival and was part of local DJ organizations Hear.It.Feel.It.Move.It. and Re-Start. In 2012 Kristina performed on Dance Arena Stage at Exit Festival and 2013 at LoveFest. She played alongside talented and respected DJ’s such as Pero FullHouse, Bimas, Ambivalent, Shinedoe, Anja Schneider, Richie Hawtin, Kalden Bess, Luigi Madonna, Cristian Varela, Oxia and many more. Kristina’s sets are energetic,with unique style and technique combining Detroit, Industrial, minimal and groovy techno, this talented DJ will not leave you standing still. These days Kristina Lalic is focused on her production and sound development, capturing the sound of today and tomorrow.
