Biography
Russia's leading Electronic Dance Music (EDM) DJ with past residencies at renowned Moscow venues such as Jeff Club, Shambala, Soho Rooms, Arena, Icon, Premier Lounge, Fairy Tale, D and most notably as music director at Fabrique. At Fabrique, he was the official ambassador for the Swiss music label Houseworks, organising their events and collaborating with top EDM artists: working alongside superstars such as David Guetta, Bob Sinclar, ATB, Benny Benassi, both Axwell and Steve Angello, Erick Morillo, and Fedde le Grand. Now he is music director at the Artist, Moscow’s best club, also plays a regular New Year’s Eve slot at Les Caves (Courchevel), in addition to a weekly summer residency to over 5000 people every Friday and Saturday at Ibiza (Odessa), has also DJ’d at Inferno & Aura (Turkey) as well as in Germany’s famous Love Parade. He has been known to DJ live on 5 players simultaneously in front of his audience and has even created and launched 2 Apps for Apple gadget lovers - one of which is called ‘You Can Be A DJ’. Alex was the headline DJ for Deep Purple and Faithless concerts: in St Petersburg he DJ’d to an audience of 150,000 people. Already DJ Fenix has had experience of co-writing a chart hit (with Supafly Inc) in 2009 called "I Believe”, reaching #5 in Russia, #5 in the Middle East, #13 in Spain and #19 in the Dutch music charts. He will be DJing at a residency in Ibiza in Summer 2014 Alex is a former Olympic Volleyball team player and started DJing as a hobby. Coming from a military family background, he has always been extremely disciplined and this is how his musical education evolved. Volleyball is now a hobby and he often organizes tournaments in locations where he is performing. Both sport and being healthy are major factors in his philosophy on life. Alex is fluent in Russian and English - as a sportsman he has been recognized on an international level, and now he intends to take his musical talent to a similar level of international recognition.
