Hi everybody,

I am probably just going through just a phase right now but I would like to hold a Logo design contest here on the community if I am allowed to do that. If so, I want a symbol that describes my stage name of DJ Bodhisattva, and represents my taste in music. Which is a very wide veriety of EDM.

I spin music from artist like:
Excision, Datsik, Eptic, Skrillex, Knife Party, Kill the Noise, Skrillex, Dillon Francis, Destroid, Krewella, Feed Me, Bingo Players, The Glitch Mob, Steve Aoki, Swedish House Mafia, Daft Punk, Deadmau5, Avicii, Zedd, Porter Robinson, Ghostkick, Gummy, Bassnectar, and more.

I am more or less an electronic DJ, I sometimes like to mix in a little bit of rap, alternative, pop, or dance.

My main Genres are:
Dubstep
Progressive House
House
Trance
"Dance" as iTunes would categorize it.
Moombhaton
Glitch
Drum & Bass

It's too much for me to list, but I would like to have a symbol that represents my name as Bodhisattva and how I love the flow in my music but also love the intensity and brutality of the bass, drops, and transitions. I would also like my symbol to message that I want to share the world of music in the mind of the artist or DJ and have it symbolize that I want there to be a party and people going ape shit, along with it symbolizing my love for music and going ape shit with the Crowd only on stage. Showing that not only do I want to DJ the party or event, but be part of the party and not only being the Jukebox. I don't want my symbol to be too geometric, but you can send me your best piece of work, I'd perfer it to be drawn and then cleaned up via computer so I can make a png or jpg.
I hope I am not asking for too much but I hope that some of you can do it.

The Reward... I'm sorry if I disapoint you with the reward I've chosen but it is the best I can do... the reward will be that I can possibly do a Live mix broadcast for a party you plan to throw if I can put it in my schedule, if that is possible. I will be available from the 16th of December to the 7th of January. The Second option is, I can either record a mix for the party.
Just keep in mind that my taste in music can be varried by the age of the album or song, meaning that the song can be 3 or 4 years old or new, I play it because I like it and I believe it is worth playing. my music will also mainly be EDM or anything that is not categorized in EDM. So if you don't want EDM then there will be a problem.

Good Luck and I hope that you have some good designs for me. Be sure to inform your country and time-zone if I can broadcast or I can send the mix to you via email. I will also need to know the date of your event.

There is a satirical and malicious overtone to most of the replies because the topic itself was marketed entirely the wrong way. The whole competition thing, it's pointless! All you have to do is ask for help with a logo, and there are already plenty of topics on the community of people offering their services and even giving advice on how to make your own.

In future, just request help, this board generally doesn't operate on a give-to-receive basis.

HAHAHAHA that's sweet, but I've already made a Mix cover for my first set of mixes, which you can find on my Mixcloud. the one I made is simple, but not that bad either. Yours isn't bad either but maybe I can use it for my next set of mixes, I'm just worried you are mocking me with the title of the cover "All the glory with minimal effort", sounds like you are mocking me.

Next time, believe about what you are gonna say before you say it because you make it sound like I am lazy and don't want to do my own work. I agree, but I would like something a little more artistic and symbol too! Sorry for not being specific but I want/need a symbol. I've already got my name and I love it. I just want a symbol that suits me

11.10.2013		New-age trolls are impressive, but also so advanced they could be considered failures at what they are attempting to do.

I have to respect the way he just kept powering through, almost defeating said trolls by not even noticing they were trying to troll.

Anyway - in a nutshell dude, no one is going to make you a logo because you seem completely ungrateful with your 'I might be able to fit you in broadcast a set for you'

My advice to you is ask for more hours at work, save up some money, and pay someone to design you one. Don't just come in here and expect something for nothing - we all have busy lives.

Shame OP.....they taking the piss outta you, but you walked right into it.

Imagine I asked who would like to do clean my house and wash my windows? Then offered 5 mins of my time as a reward....
I mean....really? What makes my time so valuable?

In order to get gigs when you starting out, one generally has to beg and play for free for a bit, till you build a reputation.

So offering your mix to be played at a party, or live broadcast, is just not worth anyones effort to be honest.
If you were Deadmau5....maybe....but you ain't son!

Maybe its cuz you are young, but the OP just comes across as really arrogant. Trying to get someone to do a job for you, with you as the reward.

So maybe its you that needs to believe before you type, else you gonna keep getting this kind of reaction from the community members.

I agree, but I would like something a little more artistic and symbol too! Sorry for not being specific but I want/need a symbol. I've already got my name and I love it. I just want a symbol that suits me
