How can I edit a song to change the BPM
Posted on: 12.10.2013 by Inge Rechtien
Hello I want to change the BPM of some songs to make it more DJ friendly or easy to mix with, Is there anyone who could tell me how to do it? Any tutorials?
I own Ableton live 9 can i do it with this software?

Is it possible to change the BPM but get it to sound the same?
You don't need to record it for use in Traktor. Open Traktor and load the track to a deck. Turn keylock on for the deck. Adjust the tempo to any BPM you like.

But, this isn't real, right? The whole POINT of DJ software (or CDJs, turntables, etc) is to be able to adjust tempos.

Fuck adjusting pitch. Sync that shit up and forget about tempos. Also forget about phrasing, track selection, beat matching and the levels. Speaking about levels, play Levels often.

(I'm not anti-sync but this thread is just awesome)

The pitch fader? Is this a trick question?

Been doing this in SoundForge years ago when I was using CDJ's.

It's even EASIER in Ableton.

Download a free app/program named Audacity

Then follow these directions

Pretty sure you can do this in Ableton, but as I have no clue about that software, this is the best I could do.

Asking this question on a DJ community is like going to a cooking community and asking, "How do I adjust the temperature of my stove"?

Nobody can be that hard of understanding.

Good lord.

Are you serious? I genuinely need to know.

Less than 1 minute of googling and reading will tell you how to do this.
