Rekordbox + CDJ question

right, i'm going to have a gig tomorrow and i'd like to play some tunes off an USB stick, and i'm not sure on how this is going to work

after i export the rekordbox prepped tracks to the USB stick, will the cdj read only the files in the RB folder/from the RB library? i have some more music on the stick, but i'd like the CDJ to ignore them and only use the RB files.

edit: obviously i can backup the files and delete them from the stick, but i don't really want to do that

The player should default to the RB prepped tracks when you plug the stick in. However if you navigate 'up' a tier on the folder tree I believe it shows the RB stuff as a folder called 'Pioneer', then all of your other music will be in other folders.

I did this with my CDJ900s as I had all my music on a large 320Gb external hard drive- Rekordbox put all of the prepped tracks into a folder caller "Pioneer" and left all of my other music folders on there available to play simply by navigating to them on the player.

Also, if you use Traktor you can still navigate through and play the songs that you've imported to Rekordbox with no issue as well.

No worries!

I havn't had CDJs for nearly a year now but I remembered thats how it works because the "Pioneer" folder still shows up when I navigate to the usb drive root directory when plugged into my SC2900s!
