Software to Sample Music?
Posted on: 20.05.2012 by Marti Virkler
So, i'm trying to create a good series of samples, loops, one shots, etc. I know how to sample in ableton but feel it's just a bit clunky... Any other software out there that people use that is both quick and efficient at slicing up tracks to sample them?

Thanks!

Ableton is pretty click for creating and exporting one-shots .. the fact that you have stuff beat-locked is pretty handy - I generally do it in session view, consolidate each one, and drag the consolidated samples to a folder in the browser.

Kontact is pretty solid for advanced sampling, if youre willing to pay the price for it.

Any decent audio editor will do the job. You can get Audition for free. I prefer the clunky workflow in Ableton
