How do you remember tracks played with cds?
How do you remember tracks played with cds? Posted on: 06.01.2014 by Luciano Hyppolite As the tittle asks, I'm transitioning to playing with cds (LOVING IT!) and I wanted to know how do you guys remember which tracks you have already played in a set!I'm currently playing with a couple of Denon DNS 1000 that a friend gave me. I want to know your tips and tricks! | |
Layne Kitt 17.01.2014 | 1 track per cd, bring an extra case along or have room in the back of your case to put your cds in after you played them, that way you'll be able to know what tracks you played and have them in the order you played them. |

Lawana Mileto 10.01.2014 | 100 Tracks a week is overkill in my opinion, is there really that much good stuff coming out each week. Now I don't buy digital, but if I did, I wouldnt be buying that much a week. Vinyl wise I probably buy between 15-25 records a month sometimes less, which equates to maybe 60-100 tracks if there all had 4 tracks on which to be honest most have 2/3. Which means I actually have plenty of time to play listen and learn my music. Don't go buying anything, curate a library of the best, cut the crap. And learn it all. |

Just download what you like and dont waste time with the rest That way you wont have to memorize 1000 tracks (how long is it goingto take you to get through all of them anyway?) Instead all youll remember is 100, which is actually a decent amount of music to attain per week. Think about it 4 days of 25 song downloads is a lot then take a break for 3 days, listening to your new music. I believe you are in overkill mode mate |

I use Traktor and an X1, so what I do when practicing is create a TextEdit file of tracks that go well together and then organize them accordingly in a Traktor playlist later on. After practicing/gigging enough, you'll remember clusters easily. |

Lannie Kutay 07.01.2014 | i do 1 track per cd too. its easier for me. I learned it in an Armin Van Buren video |
Arnulfo Morten 07.01.2014 | 1 track per cd… 2 piles of cds lol easy peasy thats how we did it before cdj's could read mp3 and usb…. |
Pam Stolley 08.01.2014 | i haven't used this model but from what i'm reading there should be a history feature |
Brunilda Kora 07.01.2014 | The answer is to snap the CD once you've played it. That's how Chad jackson used to do it with vinyl... chad-on-telly-e1263909350330.jpg |

Sanora Mcbroom 07.01.2014 | Pretty much what everyone is saying. Just practice and practice with the tracks you have, learn different track combinations and pay attention to your music. |
Lawana Mileto 07.01.2014 | If you actually know your music then you won't have a problem. If you don't know it, then learn it. |
Latoria Kavulich 07.01.2014 | this amazing piece of technology. |
Rebbecca Fennell 06.01.2014 | A stack? |
Chandra Lean 06.01.2014 | you'll know. If you don't know the tracks you've played, then you don't know your music well enough, or you have a crappy memory. |
Augustine Mitzen 06.01.2014 | pretty much. i don't believe i've had problem with it even doing a 6hr sesh |
Hellen Mindrup 06.01.2014 | I just remember what tracks I've played lol |
