F1 wont allow delete of samples?
Posted on: 21.10.2013 by Libbie Orion
I dont know when this started happening but i suppose its since the last update. Who knows.... but

I have a sample loaded into my cell on my remix deck
I want to DELETE the sample because its wrong.... but traktor tells me i cant delete it...strange

The process to delete a sample from a cell is
HOLD SHIFT + CAPTURE (which equals DELETE)
and then press the cell you want deleted.

Ok i did that. I even make sure thats the way by reading the tutorial PDF

3.6.5 Delete Samples and Pages
As we saw in 3.6.1, Preparations , you need to press and hold SHIFT and CAPTURE (DELETE)
in order to remove material from the deck. You remain in this mode only as long as you are
holding at least one of the two buttons. This is to prevent you from accidentally deleting Sam-
ples or pages.

Sample Deletion
Deleting a Sample from a pad is very easy:

1. Press and hold the SHIFT + CAPTURE (DELETE) buttons.
2. While continuing to hold either one of the buttons, hit the pad that you want to "unload"
(delete containing Sample). That's it!
Ok im doing that but the Deck flashes and error at me

nope. the external was attached and the track was in there. It was actually loaded into both decks but the error came up anyway, strange

also no i dont have a different mapping. I use my F1 simply as plug and play. Never mapped it because i use a mapping on the MF3D for extras

arsman - thanks for the help attempt but i just found what the problem was

i have an F1 attached and its assigned to Deck C
i also have an MF3D attached and it was assigned to Deck C as well

i noticed something was going wrong when i would press the SHIFT button but the pads would flash ON and then off
very quickly again as if the shift was being interrupted

All i had to do was unplug the MF3D, plug it back in, wait a sec for it to ask me (WHERE DO YOU WANT ME ASSIGNED?)
and i told it DECK D
this freed up the F1 completely.
