Marcelina Hanaway 24.10.2013 | You guys are the best. Thanks so much for the help! |
Alphonso Deitchman 24.10.2013 | Turn your gains down and Master up until you have a balance between your Channels and Master, while also outputting a low enough volume for your speakers. |
Teresia Janusch 24.10.2013 | you must be putting out a very low level. if thats the case, you can go into the club menu on the mixer when you power it up and change the output attenuator to the most attenuation, i believe its -19db off the top of my head. that way you can increase the master level without deafening anyone |
Marcelina Hanaway 24.10.2013 | Messed around with it last evening . Still doesn't feel very comfortable in terms of listening. When Master Cue is pressed, it's significantly lower than the cue'd track I'm trying to mix in. If I adjust the Master volume, I'm affecting the sound coming out of the speakers. Guess I have to get used to it. |
Teresia Janusch 24.10.2013 | Its also worth checking the Mono Split/Stereo button |
Marcelina Hanaway 23.10.2013 | Wow, that was stupid of me. Thanks guys. |
Hipolito Scionti 23.10.2013 | You only cue one track against the master Like this (notice only track 1 and the master's cue buttons are lit up): |
Alphonso Deitchman 23.10.2013 | Turn on Cue for one channel, and the Master. |

Marcelina Hanaway 23.10.2013 | I'm not listening to the same track twice. One track in one cue button, the other track in the other cue button. Am I making sense? |
Hipolito Scionti 23.10.2013 | yeah you want just master and only the channel you are cuing... otherwise your just listening to both cued channels at their full volume and the cue / master knob wont make a difference That'll be your problem for sure. |
Alphonso Deitchman 23.10.2013 | That's why it sounds louder on the "Master" since you're listening to the same track twice. |
Marcelina Hanaway 23.10.2013 | Mixing two channels. I have both "cue" buttons pressed for each channel. I'm probably being really stupid about this. |
Hipolito Scionti 23.10.2013 | I know it's obvs... But do you have only the buttons pressed for the master and the deck you want to cue ? You dont have both tracks and the master cued? |
Alphonso Deitchman 23.10.2013 | There should be an obvious change in Cue/Master mix when you turn the dial. Make sure you only have one channel's Cue activated, as well as the Master Cue. |

Marcelina Hanaway 23.10.2013 | After messing with the headphone volume last evening , it seemed like I had everything set properly and both channels were equal in volume. But one thing I wasn’t able to do was lower the master channel in the headphones so that I could hear the channel being cued well enough to beatmatch. Coming from a DJM 350, I was able to adjust the master channel in the headphones without altering the gain/highs/mids/lows. |
Teresia Janusch 22.10.2013 | pretty much what they said above... |
Alphonso Deitchman 22.10.2013 | Make sure your Master Output and Channel VU meters are level. Otherwise they won't sound balanced. |
Marcelina Hanaway 22.10.2013 | Thanks johney. I'll give it a go when I get home. |
Augustine Mitzen 22.10.2013 | master volume is probably turned up. use master/cue knob, that should solve your problem |
