Thanks for providing the link. I get all the information that I wanted to know about converting HID to MIDI. That was helpful enough.

this is just a necro thread re-opened by a spam bot.... again and again by the looks of it tho in case anyone finds this thread later in searches - glovepie or midimasher can both do hid to midi converting.

Hey, simply map it as generic keyboard and it will do. No need for converting HID to MIDI since Traktor read HID from keyboard.

I believe glovepie (google it) maybe able to do what you want.

I've been toying with using it to create a translator for midi devices to control the remix decks in traktor 2.5

Is that the best converter of MIDI to HID? Can you give me a free link of the converter? Thanks!

pointless thread is pointless?

sorry im just a bit cranky.

since i dont like being an ass to people on here: as long as youre mapping keys in traktor, i dont see the need for the converter. youre just over complicating it

well i am basicly just rearanging the buttons on a pc keyboard but i dont believe i need to convert the signals to midi because traktor recognises hid from a keyboard.

Specifically, what are you trying to do? Do you have an HID only device that you're trying to use in Traktor? If so, what device is it? Give us as much detail as possible.

well you kno how you can map the keyboard in traktor, i wana convert it to midi. but im having second thoughts, umm any chance that you could just use the HID for all of this.

thanks for your help so far

HID isn't really a standard so it could be tricky. Do you mean the media keys that you get with some keyboards? Most manufacturers have a utility that'll convert these to keystrokes, that you could then convert to MIDI.
