Want to Add Some Extra Quality Effects to S4 Setup!? Posted on: 16.08.2012 by Mac Fly Hi TechTools,I am currently using an S4 with Traktor pro 2. I also use CDJ's with an X1 when I do club gigs which are basically to much of a hassle to bring my S4 along. I want to add some extra quality effects to my setup. I know that Traktor has tons of effects but the only ones I really believe feel natural during a set and that i use often are filters, delays, reverbs, gater, beatmasher and maybe a flanger from time to time. I really want to add some really good sounding delays, filters and maybe glitch type effects to my sets. Either through hacking a software plug-in, adding an extra midi controller running an additional software or... Whatever. This revelation came shortly after reading the Korg Mini Kaoss Pad review. This unit seemed seemed like something that would work great but Im not sure how reliable it would be and how I would connect it all in my set up, if even possible or practical... Anyone have any good advice? | |

| Cira Ditz 17.08.2012 | I ended up getting an RMX 1000 last month and it's been pretty great - simple controls but lots of ability to shape things. Downside being some of the effects just go WAAAAAAY to strong (am connecting via master out, and gonna be buying some patch cables toevening
to run through the club's DJM 700 send/return which hoping will give me more control over them). But yeh, it's rather good. But the downside is this month I've been even more broke than usual |
| Leeanna Ayla 16.08.2012 | With the S4 you would run your master out through it so the effect would effect everything. There's no way to send a single channel. You can add loops on any of the Kaoss pads and use them with effects that don't effect the main sound of Traktor. |
