In the market for a laptop(non-apple) I need some help as to what to get spec wise Posted on: 23.08.2012 by Jule Zalusky Hi. I want to buy a laptop to strictly dj with. I know Macs are the normal go to, but lack of funds just doesn't allow it. What I'm looking for here is some help as to what specs I should use. Right now I'm djing with a desktop with an APC40, which I love. I use traktor pro2 right now because I'm comfortable with it. Any help would be great. Thanks. | |

Ossie Pooley 23.08.2012 | I prefer SSD but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it. |
Melinda Wubben 23.08.2012 | Not just that, but overall responsiveness. I wouldn't go back, at least, but YMMV. |

Melinda Wubben 23.08.2012 | Whatever you get for the laptop, make sure to get an SSD instead of a hard drive. It makes a huge difference. |

So far the Dell Precision M6400 is my favorite laptop I've ever used besides some of the Sagar machines, but those are just as much as Macs. |
