In the market for a laptop(non-apple) I need some help as to what to get spec wise

Hi. I want to buy a laptop to strictly dj with. I know Macs are the normal go to, but lack of funds just doesn't allow it. What I'm looking for here is some help as to what specs I should use. Right now I'm djing with a desktop with an APC40, which I love. I use traktor pro2 right now because I'm comfortable with it. Any help would be great. Thanks.

my windows laptop was fairly cheap and runs like a dream with traktor, serato, ableton, even when running the bridge. HP G62

If by huge difference you mean marginally faster boot times and song analyze times, then sure.

Otherwise... totally unnecessary and oftentimes prohibitively expensive if you want a large HD.

I prefer SSD but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it.

Not just that, but overall responsiveness. I wouldn't go back, at least, but YMMV.

I've had great results with the Thinkpad Series, The Dell Precision M Series, and the Asus G Series. And of course the MBP, but that's not what we're talking about here.

So far the Dell Precision M6400 is my favorite laptop I've ever used besides some of the Sagar machines, but those are just as much as Macs.

Are you planning on using it for anything other than DJing?
