If we're talking putting on a party with friends at a venue, I don't believe DJing yourself is a problem. |
Darren Teboe 02.09.2012 | Sort of shocked at these answers. I'd say it's a no no if you're doing anything other than opening the evening up. In the north east, unless your are an extremely established name (believe Danny Tenaglia), that type of thing is frowned upon VERY heavily by everyone in the business. Best way I can put it is that the best promoters never do this with a few exceptions. |
Yong Aptekar 02.09.2012 | Nothing wrong at all. Make sure you have DJ friends there like everyone else said. That way, when you want to drink more, or talk to people, pass the decks off and have fun. The best part about DJing your own party is when you want on the decks, you can get on the decks. |

Era Roka 01.09.2012 | i would say yes, tough i love dj'ing, i just wanna chat with my friends. And there is now way i even can run 4 decks + chatting with my friends (actually i believe 4 is easier compared to 2) |
Teresia Janusch 02.09.2012 | Not at all! Even Guetta did it back in the 'Fuck Me Im Famous' days and earlier! |
Geri Jarra 01.09.2012 | Its why people come to my parties |
Francis Leckliter 01.09.2012 | What's making you hesitant about it being okay? |
Jessi Therkildsen 01.09.2012 | No. |
Latina Samon 01.09.2012 | Ermm no? I'd say it's what most DJ's do. |
Antonetta Wikel 01.09.2012 | Absolutely not. |
Doria Roschel 01.09.2012 | By party do you mean a small house party for friends, or an event you're hosting/promoting at a club? Big difference. |
