Need help with my audio setup

I have traktor s2's and can only get sound to work through my laptop which means my cue buttons don't work (if i press cue and the volume slider is down on my controller it will just start playing through my speakers full volume). If i plug speakers into my laptop it works fine but through my controller nothing happens. In my audio setup the only audio device that shows up is conexant smartaudio HD. It's my friends controller and he said it worked fine for him so i'm a tad confused. please help! Thankyou in advance, Greg.
