Evening all,

So I'm currently using the Kontrol S4 but am now looking to get CD decks.

I've found someone who is selling a pair of CDJ 900s and a DJM 600 for

Been looking into my options on this (which has been a headache to say the least) and I've shortlisted these:

Ecler Nuo 2.0
Behringer DDM4000 (4 channel but very decent price!)
Pioneer DJM 350
Allen & Heath Xone 42

Mmimer, I will check them out, thank you for the info.

fullenglishpint, I am swaying more towards the nuo, I like the simplicity of it and the fact that I can expand on it if I want to.

I'd pick the nuo 2.0 or the xone 42 from the list.

Fair enough. Well if you can get hold of the cash I'll deliver for the cost of fuel. The mixer's in great condition. PM me if you're interested.

I'm in Milton Keynes so not far away from you at all but I'm looking to buy new, mainly because I'm putting the gear on my credit card as I don't have the cash up front....

Unless of course I can get a decentish offer, such as this: http://www.thomann.de/gb/pioneer_djm..._b_stock_2.htm

Well I get your point but the main advantage for me is this: I played a gig on Friday evening , the third time I've played at the bar. The previous two times, I turned up with my magma bag which was loaded with my S4, my laptop, my headphones, cables, 2 socket plug extension and in addition my magma laptop stand. But this time I turned up with just my headphones and an SD card.

Ok, it doesn't take too long to set up and pack away the S4 but it's enough time and in all honesty, quite a ball-ache!

Comparing it to simply turning up with an SD card, well, there is no comparison.

Also, it was the first time i've ever used CDJs of any kind and have to say I loved using them.

So my decision is get CDJs is nailed on, now the only other thing to decide is what mixer? You know it one subject people will say the pros and cons for just about all the brands. It ur money get what u feel comfortable with. I know must people got out their ways to get the top gear and that's the big mistake most people do and end up trying to sell it. You may like the 2 channels controller over 4 channels or vice versus. I own both because I started with 2 and now I own the 4 channels. Kept the 2 as my backup. I will be adding the CDJ soon and I'm still looking because the newer one are always popping up with better feature. As soon as u get the item you're outdated the next date... So in all I'm saying don't try to get the best when it not in ur budget....

Jesus Loverocket, you know that strokes and folks thing? I really don't understand why every time anyone says they want to buy CDJs, someone has to pop up and say WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU DO THAT???? Then we have the CDJ vs controller argument all over again, every frickin' time.

If someone has an S4 and decides they want CDJs, they've clearly thought it through and don't need slamming for making an 'illogical' decision.

They certainly are, we Europeans pay considerably higher prices for gear (I always start drooling when I see the US prices).

Didn't know u were looking at something that far. Question do u have a DJ store near by? Then you'll out of luck viewing video and product reviews is your best bet. Have you join the community for that product ask around there and use ur judgement from there.
Like someone say if it outdated and it cost that much you're better off buying a new product who know how much longer that item will last if you buy used item....

Yeah personally thats a bit expenisive to me. I mean I've seen pairs going for about 1800 USD, the mixer is not worth an extra 600 bucks. You can get a djm 800 for the price imo. Maybe prices are different across the pond.

Anyone can tell you the good and bad so u make the final choice...
No and I won't get the chance to test it as the guy is over 300 miles away from me. I have emailed to ask about a price for just the CDJs so I might just go down that route and get a new mixer....

The mixer is alright. Its a bit dated personally. Ask without the mixer and see what prices he will give. Then go 100 lower
