Shiftee video with an interesting quote. Posted on: 19.09.2012 by Leeanna Ayla @ 1:12 "I kind of have a special version of Traktor on my computer right now which has a robust midi out capabilities" Wonder if we'll get that? | |

Maximina Daspit 20.09.2012 | If N.I. ever get round to making a video feature within traktor I believe it would be pretty cool if they copied a bit of mostly robot's setup in terms of faders and turntables moving objects within the video output. |
Venetta Cawyer 20.09.2012 | It's about how accurate the internal clock is, and trust me, that has a huge margin. And second, MIDI clock doesn't share fader movement information |

From what I understand, the way he has it set up is that the crossfader and the TC vinyl control visuals via MIDI data output. So yeah, he must have a special version of Traktor that converts or uses both languages at the same time. |
Random X 19.09.2012 | I'm still wondering if he's just talking about the robust MIDIout on the S4 unit with bundled software or ... |
Leeanna Ayla 19.09.2012 | Unless it's video he's really talking about. He specifically says more robust so maybe it's just a better midi clock that is easier to sync up with other stuff. |
Nereida Jasnoch 19.09.2012 | you can only do so much with midi out. I can't believe of anything spectacular to add to what we have already. |
Johnsie Kingrea 19.09.2012 | What would be the additional benefit of this special midi out that he's discussing. From a mostly robot video that I watched earlier it seems that it's very tailored for visuals and such. I'm not sure if we'd get this feature as it seems this was designed specifically for this show/performance. However I could be wrong. |
Shonda Soulier 20.09.2012 | I wonder if it's one of those SCSI midi cables that transmits extra bytes and digitals. |
Random X 19.09.2012 | LoLz... gonna try that MIDI out as soon as I get a new ol' MIDI cable. See what happens if I run it through either the BCR or the Roland. See what can be done with that. |
