NEW TRACK!!! House/Electro... Feedback plz :) Posted on: 26.12.2010 by Janyce Jardon Hey guys, so normally i dont tend to make sorta "commercial" house/electro style tracks, but my friends are allways telling me to make one, so i finally got around to doing it... so here it is.http://soundcloud.com/filterkat/selfish-girls-original-mix Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I believe i need to do a little something to the breakdowns. i need to take down the volume of the drumroll before the drop because it masks the vocal a bit. Other than that i dont really have any ideas on how to improve it so any feedback or input is welcome! Thanks guys | |

| Velma Elsherif 02.02.2011 | Sounds so good dude. What did u use to create this song? my friend just bought a maschine. but all the sound effects and stuff sounds pretty cheap. Maybe because we don't know how to use it at it's fullest potential.Any tips of where to start within music producing? |
| Janyce Jardon 26.12.2010 | never thought of that! Might try that tomoro morning. Ill just have to make sure the track gain and record gain in traktor is set right. Ive had a few problems with that before. Might add a few more noise sweeps here and there in some of the buildup parts aswel |

| Janyce Jardon 26.12.2010 | thanks! yeah i was believeing about using more filters here and there, but my filter plugin is giving me greif especially with highpass. Keeps making "popping" noises here and there. theres one on the track in the first breakdown i cant get rid of no matter how hard i try. Might try one of logics built in filters, but they dont sound as creamy as the VST i have. Thanks for the input! |
| Marguerite Salsedo 26.12.2010 | I actually like it (surprised with myself about that), mainly cause the piano is nicely done. I believe if you added some filtering (high pass?) to bring in the drums on some of the buildups (at ~ 0:18 , 4:15) would be even better. |
