Your controller should appier here:

MIDI In-Out.jpg

Also try to set "all ports". If it doesn't work ether way then it's something wrong with driver or it's unit malfunction.

It should work with any software that takes midi - ableton, vdj, mixxx, decadance, etc... But if your spin doesn't send midi to traktor I wouldn't be so sure it will send it to some other sowtfare ether.

Hi Stewe, Unfortunately nothing is helping..could not progress any further. Any other options, other softwares, that will work with spin, besides Mac.

Try to switch on you comp sound card and see if any changes. If not, then uninstall both asio drivers and reinstall only asio for typhoon. Also reinstalling typhoon driver can't really hurt.

Which audio device do you use? Audio must be selected in order so midi can be sent. If you dont have audio card you cant use mapping though.

What version of Traktor are you using out of curiosity?

Make sure it sends midi by pressing any button on your controller and looking at little blue blinking dot at the master section of the screen. If you got blue light then midi is sent to traktor and issue is with mapping.

Use big import button twice and set midi in/out port by selecting your controller's name in drop down menu.

Make sure that you are using right mapping for your version of traktor because earlier versions of mappings won't work correctly with 2.5 and vice versa.

You import .tsi files from the preferences and there are numerous tutorials on how to do this and the manual has a section too. Setting up the audio is another thing as you need to again go to the prefrences and select it as your sound card. The manual has pretty clear instructions on this.
Thans Rdale, Actually I imported the tsi file, but got lost after that, if you could tell me a step by step process for this, would be great, really sorry..Thanks

Yes. This is the part I need help with, I am not that much of a computer person, so that's why I would need your assistance. Where and how do I get this Midi mapping. How do I install it on the virtual dj. Thanks

If you got your controller properly installed next thing you need to do is import midi mapping for your vestax.

Yes. I did, nothing much to it though. It's just that I cannot control the vestax spin on virtual dj or traitor pro. I don't know what additional tools are needed. Thanks
