New track (with an updated mastering technique (how is it?))

Hey guys,

So this is a new original we just made. Just looking for some feedback. I tried another new method of mastering and I'm just wondering how it sounds. It's called hyperdrive cause it reminded us of being in space and the star wars (or any science fiction (star trek, stargate)) hyperdrive sequence.

Enjoy!

Thanks for your input! I did automate that pan to hard left/right. I'll make changes accordingly once I repurpose my old headphones.

it's a bit heavy on the autopanning .I would say it is a few db too loud in the highs but it's a very playable track for that style .

It may be most likely due to how I engineered it. I thought it was almost too loud when I did it; although, this is definitely because of the lack of studio monitors. I also agree with that high-end. I tapered it off a little bit. I'll definitely re-work all of my songs once I get some monitors. Thanks for the great input!

Sweet gimity giblits! Cheese galore it is. Not going to comment on the actual song, but the engineering sounds pretty decent, just not much bottom end though. Not sure if that's because of soundcloud or your engineering, but some low end is needed in this. And some of those hi's could be be EQ'd a bit better to take away some of those "harsh" frequencies, more maybe just lowered a bit in the mix.
