Pioneer XDJ Aero Does Not Support Hot Cues

From the Pioneer web site:

Is it possible to set the auto beat loop's loop in point ahead of time?

The XDJ-AERO is not equipped with a hot cue function, so hot loops set with rekordbox cannot be called out.
Net Number : 57

Deal breaker.

You guys know how Rekordbox Memory Cues work, right? You get 10 of them per track (or 4, it seems, in the Aero's case), they autoload, you cycle through them with a few buttons, you dont have to mash them or do any button tricks to get them to actually cue rather than start playing right away, I feel like Im taking crazy pills here.
should I start a new thread tiltled : "Pioneer XDJ-AERO Does NOT Support Memory Cues." ???

That what I'm hoping for a way to go through memory cues. I always set a load cue in traktor and would like to do the samw with Aero. Set a memory cue and be able to get that as starting point in my songs like the memory call in some of their CDJ's. I can be handy to have some points in songs set for easy calling so no need to scrool through a whole song to get to that perfect part to mix into your set.
If you like cue jugeling I believe you'll be better of with using Traktor anyway.

Seems ridiculous that they would say it doesn't support hot cues (on their website) when it does.

More confusion here:

If my memory serves me correctly two features were left out and are to be included in a firmware update (to be announced) on release of the Aero were custom Jog Drum samples and Cue points.

It's day two for me and the AERO and I've just cleared out all my iphone to start loading in tracks.

Think this will either be a really interesting new step, or I've just made a very huge expensive mistake. Should probably know in a day or two

but yeh - I believe Pioneer haven't helped themselves with this confusion over no hotcues for the AERO but hotcues in the mobile APP for 2000 (and then the Nexus they announced later on). Took me ages to try and finally figure out they weren't a feature on the AERO
have you tried to load a track into the AERO with Rekordbox hot cues yet?

IMO People not using hot cues are not taking advantage. I dont use them for any major button mashing but the ability to jump straight to a loop, vocals, breakdown whenever you see fit while mixing truely adds another layer of creativity!

I have had my aero now for a month and I love it.
Like you shishdisma I must have used the hot cues maybe twice on my cdj1000s.
Waveforms are not an issue for me either as I know my songs and where the breakdowns are.
For the bedroom the aero is a great bit of kit.

from engadget:

"If you were twiddling your thumbs waiting for Pioneer's XDJ-AERO to come out, you might want to head on over to iTunes or the Play store instead. Why? Because the mobile rekordbox companion app for iOS and Android has just been released. If you were believeing it'd just be a basic music management tool, then you'll be pleasantly surprised. Sure, you can import tracks, to then play on the XDJ-AERO (and other Pioneer DJ products that support WiFi), but you can also set up loop points, hot cues, analyze tracks, create playlists, and even experiment with ideas on the fly. This means you can get your tracks prepped up wherever you are, and turn up to the party good to go, be it on your own gear or a friends'. This is also what you'll need if you want to make use of the forthcoming controller's WiFi functionality, although it can also be used to connect with the desktop version of the program if you're already using it. The app is free, and available now, just head down to the source to line those beats up."

Why do you need hot cues when you have memory cues? Your DVS isn't a drum machine.

i am actually getting the xdj aero just so i can jam with rekordbox

my usual setup is MBP + X1 or maschine + Audio 6 + timecode cd's

i found it very redundant to use timecode cd's, and sometimes setting up can be a hassle when the guy before you and the guy after you and yourself all use different DVS systems (serato/traktor)

im believeing to go rekordbox just so i dont need to bring my laptop, and just play off usb's- seems fun

A $1100 controller and a $1200 CD player do not support hot cues.

I just thought that is important info I should share on a DJ tech community .

I was researching the XDJ-AERO. The "no laptop" setup is enticing.

I have watched all the videos and they never mention this.

I went through the user's manual PDF and no mention of hotcues. Maybe the buffering on loading prevents the hot cue function. How do you launch a hot cue at 3:42 when the buffer is still at 1:14?

I also went to Sam Ash and the XDJ-AERO was stored in the glass case. I asked if I could demo it, and the salesman said "we can't use it because we don't have wi-fi in the store."

So apparently, there is some confusion out there with this controller.

cdj 900 don't either. I don't really understand your point here. Unless you have 2000s in the pio world you won't get then. For a 1100 all access unit it can't support everything.
