Yes I agree about the bass. The bass guitar had some rather severe low cut as there were some funky resonance going on around the 100 hz region. Prob due to my dodgy playing haha. To compensate I added a sine based synth, simply mimicking the bass line. Also I just bought a sub woofer to add to my monitors and this was my first mix with it. I believe the hyped bass from the sub made me ease off a little, it'll probably take a while for me to get used to. In fact I actually really struggled with this whole mix. I spent a few hours going through eqing each track to finish off preferring my rough headphone mix I did before while composing the track haha grrrr

And I am by no means a mastering expert, basically I just slapped a multi-band compressor and limiter on the master to bring the overall level up. If I ever get around to finishing this track and being happy with it i'll send it off to get mastered by someone else.

Thank you very much for your feedback. Helped a lot.

Cheers

I believe the bass part needs to be more in the pocket (in the intro mainly) and you could definitely give it a little bit more fine tuning in terms of mixing and mastering, The bass would be killer if it was a bit fuller in sound. Other than that I like the long build up, dont let anyone tell you to cut it out. A bit more mixing overall for the whole track would do wonders as well. You got some good creativity though man.

Cheers guys. This track started out as two separated tracks which I transposed into the same key then mashed them together haha. I may go back and tweak a few things here and there, maybe make it a bit longer?

Thanks again

Liked it a lot. Really nice sounds. Loved how it took off around 3:07 and became big without being cheesy... Also the variation was a big up for me.

Thoroughly enjoying this track right now. I like the different styles after the builds. May want to take some or the leads and melodies in the different sections and build them into different tracks with the same feel.

For a long build and progression throughout the lead drops off quickly.

Yeah I tried to do something a bit different arrangement wise, where it kinda slowly builds throughout the track and then peaks at the end.

I'll take in what you said and may have another player around with the arrangement. Any suggestions?

Again... thanks for the feedback

I believe for this type of track, this takes waaay too long to finally build up. Dont get me wrong, when it finally builds up its really good, just wish it would do it alot sooner.

Looks a bit short. Is it supposed to be a club track or something would is part of a bigger body of work?

I'm guessing it falls under the House/Electro (Disco,Funky,Tech) genre, not quite sure as it has a miss-match of everything like all music I seem to make does haha.

Basically it just started out me strumming the bass guitar then adding other elements.

Could you add a description and a little info on it maybe? Might get more listens instead of saying "Listen to this!"
