if you play good tracks people are going to skim and look for the good tracks...oh wait...they are all good tracks...

at the bare minimum...30 minutes...6 or seven tracks...let me know that you know what you are doing...not just picking three popular tracks and mixing them together...

work harder grasshopper...

I didn't give up on longer mixes, just I don't know, it takes me ages to finally produce one, I can show more skill by posting mini mixes from time to time, I can put "fresher" tracks in them. I'm still in love with 1h mixes, and I believe it's the way to go. thx for the comment

Thanks! 1h mix is coming, except it's VERY very overdue, I finished the tracklist months ago and I will not change it, will send it to you in a PM once it's up, or follow me on scloud

I noticed that these three tracks are in the same key by ear, but I'm planning on buying MIK just to automate the process.. I don't know the chords by letter, just by ear. But if you use a Mac, you can download a trial of djay 4.0 which has key detection. Don't know if it's totally accurate though, but you can give it a try since it's free for 30 days

Well you could spend a lot of time learning to have a great pitch, or you could buy mixed in key. It has nothing to be with cheating.

Other than that, great mix. I didn't notice anything bad about the transitions, but then again, I was walking around the house doing other stuff while I listened. Maybe a bit too short, 12 min. is 2 EDM songs played in a row

Thanks for the comment about the transitions - I agree that most of the time they suck, but that is because tracks are not in the same key. I use this technique only when the two tracks are in the same key, so there is no weird disruption after mixing, it sounds pretty natural, not chopped up.

I used the filter, and a bit of delay when stopping the tracks, also a some delay with taking out the bass in the build ups - that's all the effects I used

And I didnt really notice the effects either, personally I believe thats how you know youre doing it right bc if you really notice it and it stands out then it might not be so good lol sometimes it is though, all depends on the song and everything

Good to see Im not the only one that likes mini mixes, just remember when you practice to mix as long as you can because itll help you when you have to do longer sets. Good stuff and i like your tracklist. When I do mini mixes I prefer to try to pack as many songs in as I can and make them around 15 mins. Most people dont wanna lsiten to 30 min or longer mixtapes now a days

Great mix, I really enjoyed it. I know some people bitch about mini mixes but I quite like them. Good high energy in the tracks.

I also thought your transitions were pretty good - coming into new tracks on breakdowns doesn't always work well but you pulled it off. Did you use any effects in the mixes? I thought I heard something but couldn't quite identify it.
