I usually start with an initial selection of 60-70 tracks that get whittled down to a third. I'm pretty obsessed with harmonics so a lot of work go into preparation. Yeah, that track right there at 51min breaks the flow like Tampax but it's intentional. If the mix is listened to while doing the nasty, that tune serves as a break for cuddles & smokes I was going back and forth on whether I should make that move or not, but it ended up being sort of tongue-in-cheek thing, if you know what I mean. And that song gave me the chills when I heard it for the first time, it's so gaaahgous I just had to bring it along. Six hour drive, hmm... here are two 120-minute ones that saves you the hassle of... you know, unnecessary clicking and whatnot. Both "The Brown Note Mashup" and "The Coulrophilia Mix" are pretty schizo, with mixes of dubstep, drum&bass, rap, triphop, pop, drumstep, future jungle, breakbeats and grime. The overall flow was great and the mixing was never questionable... until you changed the style at around the 51min mark... I was so into the mix and kinda pumped up then when you changed styles i was kinda bummed. lol, dont get me wrong the tracks were still solid, but i wish the whole thing was kept the same. That said, this is your mix and who cares , if you liked what you did, then keep doing it! I will definitely keep this one ready for my 6 hour road trip this weekend. now im gonna check out your other mix. |
