VCI-400 SE with Timecoded Vinyl

I figured this would be a question that was answered frequently, but I couldn't find any previous threads on it.

Can you use timecoded vinyl with the VCI400 SE? I know Vestax released a firmware update that allows it to be a stand alone mixer, but will that affect the settings and functionality of the DJTT SE version?

It has two sets of phono inputs on the back. As far as I understand, I would simply plug vinyl outputs into these inputs and run Traktor Scratch. I started DJing with a digital rig, so my knowledge of vinyl is limited. Correct me if I'm wrong.

AFAIK you need a native instruments scratch certified soundcard or mixer. VCI400 isnt scratch certified.
