so i've had my S2 for about a week now and been playing around with it and i decided to upload something i know its not the best what i noticed myself is that i need to improve on how to bring in a new song if u guys notice anything else feel free to explain what i can do better next time thanks in advance

play good music man! if you're having to entertain your audience by doing anything else, you're kinda missing the point a bit..

i agree though, a mixtape is a little different from playing live in that sense - so you could work on cue point bits if you want i guess? depends what you want to achieve really

The crowd would be entertained by the mix, by the song and by what you do with the music. I don't go to clubs to see dj's jumping or waving at me.

Thanks alot for your tips deffinatly gonna keep that in mind for my next mix, btw what do u suggest to do while playing a song to keep the crowd/viewer entertained?

nah this is pretty good for a first effort man! a couple of things though..

be careful to not overuse your effects (especially the filter/gater combo) - it can really kill the mix if you use it too much, and in the middle of phrases (like the tools who always overuse flanger) - keep it for building energy before a massive drop, or effecting the very end of an 8 bar section or something

also, i'd say use EQs a bit more heavily when bringing in your tracks - then you can bring them in more gradually and keep the energy up

otherwise props man, keep at it!
