Mixes I Made For a DJ Competition! (Electro, Top 40 Remix, Hip Hop) Posted on: 26.11.2012 by Mac Fly This is a very high energy, live DJ set that contains 20 tracks in 30 minutes! I prepared 10 minute sets for a DJ competition in my hometown a couple months ago and just recently combined them in one half hour long mix. It's a combination of Electro, Top 40 Remix and Hip Hop. The goal of the mix was to pretty much try and keep the energy level as high as possible with quick buildups and dirty bass. This is a great mix to listen to before you head out for some drinks or just chilling at your place. | Mac Fly 27.11.2012 | Thanks man, I found with three separate 10 minute mixes being the criteria for the competition it really forced me to focus on each 10 minute chunk, so the whole mix ended up getting a lot of attention...rather than just the first few tracks which usually happen on other mixes I have done in the past. There are still some small mistakes that I pick up on and drive me crazy tho haha |

| Wilbert Kulczak 27.11.2012 | I honestly came in here not expecting much based on the description of the mix, as generally top 40 isn't my cup of tea. I was actually quite impressed, song selection was excellent and transitions were spot on. Only critique I really had was a little overuse of the filter LFO effect, and the transition around 14:30 was a little busy sounding. |
