Progressive/Electro House Mixes - Open & Honest Feedback Welcome Posted on: 12.11.2012 by Jamee Zaborny DJTT Forum,I have included links below to my podcast and soundcloud pages. Within each, you will find some mixes and/or mashups of progressive & electro house music. As of now, I'm a bedroom DJ who wants to try and get some gigs aside from the occasional house party. Before I try to do so, I'd love to hear from you what I'm doing right or wrong, if my mixes are solid or not, include a good blend of music that is not overly commercial, etc. Am I using too many effects or not enough effects, etc. Basically anything that can help me be better at what I love to do. All feedback is welcome. I know DJTT put out an article on this recently and there have been several similar posts, but if you have time to listen to a mix or two I'd love to hear what you believe. | Mammie Zelayandia 12.11.2012 | I'm on the same boat as you so I know where you're coming from. The only thing I really noticed was that the mashups were kinda long for my taste. I'd say like 6 minutes tops would be good, because after that its a bit much. Blending them a bit more couldn't hurt either, but I wouldn't say anything bad if I was to hear something like these in a club. |
