I didn't listen to your mix but judging from the fact that you play psy I'm guessing you play a lot of 1/16th note rolling basslines. In my experience it's easiest to learn beatmatching with more crisp kicks, such as the ones you find in techno (you can find these in psy as well although not as common). Psy also has a lot going on which makes it more difficult to learn. I would recommend you grab 8-10 techno tracks just to learn beatmatching a little more easily. Anyway, just a tip, do with it what you will. Good luck!

much better on the first one. just keep an eye on the levels between tracks and see if you can put an hour together. cheers

the second one is cool. thats what we call a "soft mix" essentially a fancy crossfade, great for ambient and breaks type stuff or when the bpm difference is a lot

Alright remaking a mix with new steps.

Slowly bring up track B with bass down to zero.
Turn down hi's on first track
Turn down mids on first track.
Slowly bring up bass on second track while lowering bass on first track. I will show you my work when finished.

keep at it mate, just takes practise
definitely listen to some longer mixes in the style you dig, that certainly helped me get it together!

Yeah I try to mix in the middle, where the bass goes away and usually a soft tone, then when the 2nd breakdown comes in, i slide the fader over into the first breakdown of track B. I will try your way of towards the end mixing. Thanks jester!

Track selection was pretty good. Right up my alley.
Try and drag those transitions out and let the tracks "breathe". Practise mixing out around 2 1/2 mins from the end and use those eqs ..Tbh this sounded more like a medley than a mix, with this style the tracks need around 4-5 mins unmixed space to express themselves. Aim for around 12-13 tracks per hour with trance (again, personal preference) You should listen to a lot of mixes in this style to get an idea of what can be done. Up to you mate.

Assuming the mix isn't that good. If the page has twenty seven views and people don't bother to say it's shit or ok. I guess I have zero talent in this field.
