Live Dubstep Cutting Mashup in Traktor Pro
Posted on: 19.04.2013 by Ingrid Skelnik
Had a go at this "cutting" technique today and came up with this little jam. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

For those going what is that?? Cutting put simply is moving the fader that links two songs audio instantly back and forth from one song to another while still maintaining both songs at once.

Went the extra step and recorded it to show what it looks like live.
Enjoy!

toevening I had a little late evening with just a measly 10 or so people but me and half the people in here "djed" for a couple hours straight while i let them work my F1 and launchpad some to have some fun while I helped them mix each song in and out. with me and only one other guy who knew what the hell a mid was swapped out every now and then haha! Should have recorded the horrendousness but they loved it lol.
That is cool just freely jamming and not caring about anything just having a go at it making noise. Wish I could be there to just wing it.

Looks like you've got it down good. Those two tracks don't really mesh IMO, but you're doing it right.
