Hi all,
I got a new gig at the club I work in. Its a follow up to live music. A little out of my comfort zone (I'm used to gurning ravers) but fuck it im gona do it anyways.

I need some help finding classic hip hop, funk, soul, motown tracks that get people on their feet dancing.

Thanks

Ok wow! Thanks for the responses. I'm overwhelmed in a good way.

I have been using http://www.whosampled.com/ to cross reference tracks from Funktual vids. Coming up with some awesome tunes.

Listen to the Craig Chaarles funk & Soul show on BBC Radio 6. You an listen to the latest show anytime. He also puts his playlists up. Check out re mixes and edits by THE REFLEX on sound cloud. DJ friendly very classy remixes using only the original stems from the tracks. You can buy them in whatever format you want and even pay as much as you like (within reason).
Example of his work.

There's tons of edits on soundcloud that make a lot of the old soul stuff a little more danceable.
