New to the Forum: Looking for Feedback on New Mix; Vague Genre Distinction
Posted on: 29.05.2013 by Trula Mehrer
Hey guys my name is Dan Pak, currently a DJ at Rutgers University, DJ'ing certain parties around campus.
I'm fairly new to the game and I'm in this not to have fun/hobby but to make people feel something with my music. I could generalize myself as a straight up EDM DJ, but the genre line is very vague. There is no sub-genre in EDM for me, whether it be trance, progressive house/electro/D&B/Trap, I will play it all. My role model in the DJ/Production world is Dash Berlin; the way he makes the crowd feel with his artful mixes is influential to me.

Here is a mix I did recently.
I know it's not the cleanest and I'm not here to make excuses but did this in the library during a study break with just my keyboard and mouse.
Looking for feedback and tips on how to not just survive but thrive in this world because as of now, I want this DJ'ing thing to become a career and not just a hobby.
