How to DJ's get unreleased tracks and such

So many tracks I love are unreleased/not on beatport or iTunes yet I hear DJs playing them out all the time. Do they just get them from the artists?

When I am practicing and such I dont mind using a song I ripped from youtube but there is no way I would actually want to use them due to sound quality and the like. So other than ripping songs from youtube or soundcloud how do you obtain these tracks?

27.11.2012		Yes follow you favorite DJ and many times you get exclusives sometimes. I just resived a fully promo of Bombs Away - Party bass total of 10 version + remix steams I've got similar packs for othere artists too.

28.11.2012		yeah FB does wonders. Make sure you select " show in notifications" to see everything they post or else you just get random stuff once and awhile.

check some artist's website as well. like i know Pretty Lights gives away all his albums for free DL on his PL site.

Rusko just dropped a new EP as well that is a pay with tweet/fb share. Free dl just share the link.

27.11.2012		You can get on promo lists by simply talking to the producers/artists or if you approach the specific label and ask, but most of the bigger labels will only send you stuff once you have a few residencies or a radio show or both lol

See if they have a record label with a mailing list.
I am on a few of them and yes, directly from their pre-distribution mailer, i get links to download prereleases exclusivly just because i am on their list

i guess owning an online radio station helps but its not always the answer

I just dont believe your looking in the right places.. Ill link you too some trap guys tho cause im feeling nice today.

Dubstep is easy peasy to find.. dubstep.net is a good place to start.

Ahh i figured there was some kind of exclusivity attached to it but I was hoping that was not the case.
