| Sydney Lashway 17.10.2013 | intro was cool, no complaints there. Around the 0:59 mark; to my ear it sounds like those chords aren't working. A slight dissonance or maybe they just dont string together well, again that's just to my ear. at the 1:49 mark the modulation is just very off to me. Instrument selection and drum groove are excellent, but I just can't put my finger on it, but the chords just sounds terribly off. You redeem yourself at the 2:36 mark with those chords and the vocal cut, but the bass sounds to be conflicting with the chords. Don't get me wrong this is a good track but I can't help but to pick up on the minute things that sound off. It may not be the actually chords but sometimes chorus, phasers etc create certain overtones that just don't jive. Overall a good track and there is good variation in the drums to keep the groove moving forward. Please let me know if I'm just hearing things. |
