static and audio artifacts in the monitor channel
Posted on: 25.03.2012 by Thaddeus Dalum
Hey everyone. Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this and have figured out a solution. My audio from my master is totally fine but in my headphones signal when plugged in the headphone jack I get pretty severe crackling artifacts on my tracks. Ive tried different headphones, different tracks, playing with latency all the usual things but I cant get it to go away. Double check plugging my s4 in and not having the same problem. The headphone jack isnt loose and it really sounds more like driver type glitches than a loose connection. Any ideas or suggestions?

macbook pro 13inch 8 gigs ram, 500 internal, 10.5.8 2.26 dual core
traktor 2.1.2

cheers

Sorry, problem solved. The headphone volume in the crossfader section of the software was fully cranked so it was clipping i guess.
turned it down slightly and problem went away.
