Crackling sounds and deck a controls stopped working.

Last evening i was playing a dj gig when suddenly there came crackling sounds from deck a. And 2 minutes into the track the deck stopped playing. I took a quick restart of the computer and controller. Buy still the controls for deck a didnt work. Everything else was working. You could even control deck a with the mouse. So i just switched to deck c & d.

When i got back to the hotel i checked the system again. And suddenly the deck a was working as normal.

Now i have to go to a meeting with the owners of the evening club before this evenings gig. And the sad part is that they will from now on insist on using cdjs.

Any idea what happend? My setup has never stopped before. And djing for 10+ years on clubs ive been thru a wide range of products.
