Re-assign filter knobs
Posted on: 22.11.2013 by Yolande Doliner
Hi
I've re-assigned the four filter knobs on the F1 by going into default and ticking the override tick box, but is hasn't over ridden the default settings.
So every time I use a filter knob it applies my new setting (Key adjust and FX) as well as still controlling the filter on my remix deck.

This is my first time trying to remap anything so i'm a complete novice.
I want to remap filter 1 to adjust key pitch for deck A, filter 2 to adjust key pitch for deck B, filter 3 to operate all of deck A fx knobs and filter 4 to operate all of deck B fx knobs. I would also like to be able to turn on the fx when I turn the knob but I get a message saying that it can't be done by turning the knob.

I am running Traktor Pro 2.6.5 on a Win 8 pc along with an S4

What am I doing wrong?

Override only applies when you use the F1 in HID mode, if it's in MIDI mode then it'll still be mapped to the filter

NI controllers let you override the factory map, as you can't access the mapping directly.

If the filters still work when override is enabled I'd guess it's a bug.

I'm just learning mapping here - but I'd say you need to UN-ASSIGN the filters from the F1 knobs before re-assigning them.

But it sounds like you've already re-assigned them - so just go back and delete the original filter mappings...
