Filter effect on Xone K2 and tractor pro
Filter effect on Xone K2 and tractor pro Posted on: 28.12.2012 by Stacee Sawicki Hello,Why is the filter on Traktor Pro using Xone K2 mixer flat? When I use the filter on a track it almost cuts the sound out completely instead of keeping the treble and losing the bass or vice versa. Does someone know how to fix this? I just want the filter to to fade the sound like on a standard mixer.. Thanks, Digi | |

Kellie Myrum 28.12.2012 | Try using F92 in single effect mode, sounds like the most resonance you can reach in Traktor. |
Leeanna Ayla 28.12.2012 | It's not going to sound exactly like the filters on those mixers, but like FEP said it can get close. I like to add a little mid to my filter sweeps. |
Tatum Ansaldo 28.12.2012 | Could you maybe make a youtube video or soundcloud clip to show what you're talking about? The standard ladder filter in traktor sounds quite similar to the high resonance DJM-800 filter IMO. I'm not quite sure what it is you're expecting. |
Stacee Sawicki 28.12.2012 | Thanks for your reply. Ok those settings did help a bit.. but it still doesn't seem to have the same sound effect quality as a pioneers mixer or one of the Xone Db mixers.. Does that make sense at all.. or am I smoking to much.. When I turn the fader filter to the end either to 0/100.. I hear a softer version of the track as oppose to a hi or low treble or bass. Do I need more gear perhaps? |
Janella Gripe 28.12.2012 | You can change the filter type in the preferences menu. Mixer -> Filter Type -> Ladder (like on a pioneer djm), xone (allen & heath), Z (new traktor filter) The ladder-filter is the one with the most full sound. It gives an extra dimension & color to a track. |
