Help please....Midi Fighter ain't working
Posted on: 17.10.2010 by Ella Rick
Hi,

Just got my Midi fighter yesterday,

I've connected it to my Mac and sometimes it lights up sometimes it wont light up.

It seems like Traktor (1.26 ver) isn't picking up the Midi Fighter even tho I have installed all the mappings needed.

I have noticed that it does not show up in the drop downs menus for the In port and Out port lists in the control manager window.

Some help would be nice.

Hey will, give flashing it a go, but if that doesn't work just email the store and organize to have it swapped out.

Do you get the start up snake? you'll know what it is if you've seen it.
If not you'll have to head to the stickies!
Try the first part of this one (hold down the corners):
How to flash your MF

Thou I suspect that will fail so head to this one:
Bootloader mode manually

And follw it then head back to the first link and follow the Mac or PC guide (ProTip:- The PC way is 100x easier so do that if you can).

O and get the .hex file here:

Hi,

When I connect to computer it may light up, sometimes all the lights will be on
and when I try to re connect to computer on another occasion it may not light up at all.

I've also noticed if you pick up the Midi Fighter the lights flicker on and off,
it's seems like there could be something wrong with the usb connection on the Midi fighter itself.

Will you need to describe the problem in detail for people to help you.

You say "Sometimes it wont light up"

What does this mean specifically?

What you should expect to see is when you first plug it in the two LEDs should alternate followed by the other LEDs flashing in sequence very quickly.

Once this is finished all LEDs will remain off untill you push a button, once you push any button the corresponding LED should then illuminate.

How does this compare to your situation?

I've done everything possible and it's still not working.

It looks like I'm gonna send it back which is very annoying.

The Midi Fighter is from the latest batch (MRK 1.2) 489/500

Try importing tsi again and if that doesn't work then it might be time to flash its firm ware that is if it isn't from the recent batch I would believe those come with the new firmware
