AKAI MPD18 as midi fighter

Hi guys, first thread here

so, I'll be getting an Akai MPD 18 from a friend of mine pretty soon, and I was wondering, since it has the same 4x4 button grid as the Midi-Fighter, will the midi-fighter mappings work on it just the same as they would with an actual midi-fighter?

here is a link to the Akai website: http://www.akaipro.com/mpd18

thanks in advance,

Yeah, it should work just fine. You can set up a Trigger Finger to use the MIDI Fighter mapping. It's pretty rad. You just need to set the MPD to operate on MIDI channel 3 and, IIRC, the pads need to trigger notes C2-D#3 to match the MIDI Fighter.
