Joystick Drop-in
Joystick Drop-in Posted on: 14.02.2011 by Angelic Daguio Is it possible to instead of using a button, to "drop-in" an arcade style joystick to the existing button hole without machining or other mods? I am believeing of replacing 1 or 2 buttons with joysticks. Any suggested parts to use if this mod is feasible? | |

Angelic Daguio 18.02.2011 | No, I was believeing of something that can just drop into the holes so that there is no faceplate modification necessary. I guess finding a pot to mount in a 24mm hole is not typical. If there are arcade button hole blanks that were modded with a hole for a pot, that might be a clean way of mounting it. Angelic Daguio 14.02.2011 | Good points, a joystick with just the right dimensions is probably hard to find. How about a knob instead? It may be a bit easier to find... Is there a good part out there that fits the MF form-factor? |
Gilma Marchini 14.02.2011 | Most joysticks are huge, at least arcade style ones. Something like a PS2 joystick would fit, but an arcade stick probably won't fit (depth). O.o |
Tatum Ansaldo 14.02.2011 | I guess you could... if you find the part to fit you could use the extra analogue inputs. |
