Jennifer Lanzarotta 27.04.2011 | Hello! I got my MidiFighter a few days ago. I was able to get into bootloader mode and successfully flash it with firmware 20110204 using the MAC version of the MFUpdate. But I was having trouble getting into menu mode to enable 4 banks mode. Holding down the the top left button before connecting the USB cable to the MAC was not working. I also tried it on a PC and still no good. I tried jay2's suggestion and it worked. But now I just read ZachDero's post about having made a different firmware. Is there a newer firmware or is firmware 20110204 the latest? |
Madalene Ranjan 26.04.2011 | Did you update your firmware as soon as you got it? If so that is why it isn't working. We made a different firmware here to allow the controller to enter menu mode and boot mode the regular way. However, if you "updated" the firmware after you received it, you actually downgraded it. You should be able to get it to work by manually putting it into boot mode pressing the buttons rather than jumping it. Call in if you are still having problems 877-246-8958 |

Kayhan Polat 26.04.2011 | I found a way since holding the first button then plugging in the USB didnt work. Plug in the USB into the MF. As soon as you plug in the USB, tap the first top left button then press it again and hold. You enter Menu Mode. If not, try again. But if I wanted to update the firmware (pressing 4 corners on MF), it wont be able to work. It does nothing and Midifigher update fails on me. |

Hey Guys,
By now your Midi Fighters have arrived or are in transit to you. Unfortunately we just noticed a small bug with the new Midi Fighter PCB's. Instead of entering menu mode (http://www.djranking s.com/community /showthread.php?t=9961) by holding down the top left and plugging the controller in you need to enter menu mode by do the following: 1. Plug your controller in 2. Hold down the top left button 3. Jump the reset pins on the bottom of the board. (step 3 in this thread: http://www.djranking s.com/community /showthread.php?t=17824) We will be releasing a firmware update in 2-3 weeks to fix this issue. You will then be able to enter menu mode normally. I apologize for the inconvenience, but once we come out with the firmware update it will behave as usual. Please sign up on the following list to be notified when the new firmware is available: http://eepurl.com/dvXtz Regards, Zach DeRossette (ZachDero) www.djranking s.com www.twitter.com/djranking s (877) 246-8958 |
