Midifighter CAD file for custom faceplate?
Posted on: 21.05.2011 by Randal Biza
I was looking into getting some acrylic cut so that I could expand my Midifighter. Loving the new pro versions but don't expect to have the $250 to upgrade soon. A local custom laser cutting service will cut a new faceplate for me but they say they need a CAD illustration of it. Any idea on where to find one of these or how to create one? Or maybe where to go to start learning how to create one? Any help much appreciated.

I'm wondering how the DJTT crew got the faceplates cut for this exercise they did last September http://www.djranking s.com/2010/09/1...-midi-fighter/

Thanks man, I'll give it a try.

Quick question. How did you get the measurements for the arcade button holes? Did you just measure it yourself? What about the LED holes? Thanks

Anyone else have a DXF? This could be a great resource for people who want to take advantage of the expansion ports on their Midi fighter.

Thanks midifidler!

The thread you posted talks about a sticky with a PDF and DXF, but none of the stickies in this community contain either, as far as I can tell. Am I blind?

I was able to find the PDFs.

Could I trouble you for help locating DXF files?

DJTT did it by having experience with such software and making one. Those PCB's and stuff don't just come falling out of the sky.

But a CAD drawing is a little weird IMO.. A laser cutter nearby just asked for an Illustrator file. I taught it myself in about 5 minutes and 20 minutes later it was finished, it's really not that hard
