Custom MF Questions. Posted on: 10.12.2011 by Percy Keehan Okay, so I am turning my midifighter into my own version of the beatmasher, before I start building my own ccontroller. I figured it would be good to start off small. But, I have some questions. Are the light tubes a 3mm diameter? Can I have LEDs alongside the 4 extra arcade buttons I put along it for effect presets? If so, how? The initial idea is going to be this: (LEDS ARENT GONNA BE MODDED TO BE RED.ALL WILL BE BLUE. JUST THE ONLY PNG I HAD FOR PHOTOSHOP) I am going to use Front Panel Express to design the top so everything is dead on. It is going to probably be made of just straight up aluminum. I like its color and lust. | |

Thats what myself and sidetrakd did with our mod (though I don't remember offhand if I ever actually added support for the leds being midi controlled - they are controlled by the midi fighter firmware though so it wouldnt be hard to add full midi control). Having said that, if you can live without the leds being midi controlled, you can easily wire them directly to the buttons. |

Percy Keehan 12.12.2011 | are u sure? cuz there are those 4 new things on the circuit boards that no one knows what they are. are those the LED things? |
Adolf Hit 12.12.2011 | Hey unfortunately there is no way to add the leds like on the beat masher You could wire some LEDs up, but you would not have any MIDI control over them. |
