Sure, I totally understand that. My point is just that it is impossible to know for sure what they will be like without trying them for yourself.

I just looked up which faders we got and the best ones are the dual gang version of the ones you linked, so if you are happy with 60mm then get those. My problem is that I wanted 45mm ones. I believe Midifidler mentioned using these faders somewhere too (but their 45mm ones are ordered direct from Alpha), so they should be a reasonably safe bet.

These are the rotary pots we ended up getting. Note that they have a center dent.

PS: post pics when you have your mod built!

I don't really have the money to buys a few different types and I didn't know the travel distance of the MFP faders when I found those, and I would like them to be 60mm since they will be used for channel volume. Thank you for the help man I really appreciate it!

The knobs look like the ones we got, though obviously its impossible to tell for sure by looking at the page. If I get a chance later, I will look up the product numbers.

Regarding the faders, they seem a tiny bit pricey (though you might not find anything all that much cheaper, I guess...). You could get one and see what they're like. Note that the Midi Fighter pro's use 45mm faders but the one you linked is 60mm.

Either way, it can be a bit hit or miss and its impossible to know what they (both knobs and faders) will feel like (eg, stiff or loose etc) without getting one and seeing for yourself, which is why I would suggest getting one of a few different ones to try out, if you can.

Thanks man! These are the rotary potentiometers I'm looking at http://www2.mouser.com/Search/Produc...V09A-4025FB103
and these are the slides

if you could give me some feedback that would be great, I have never done anything like this before so I want to make sure to get all of the right parts.

The faders they get directly from Alpha Taiwan - I don't believe they are available anywhere. I know because I looked/asked. The ones I got from mouser all had a different feel to them and the closest I found where 60mm instead of 45, though I don't remember which ones anymore.

Either way, I suggest ordering a few different knobs and faders (rotary potentiometers and slide potentiometers) from somewhere like mouser.com (ie get one of each of a few different models) and see which you like best. Most (edit: knobs; the faders cost a bit more) cost between 1 and 4 dollars each and I had no luck with more expensive ones, so you can probably ignore them.
