midi fighter mod Posted on: 04.04.2012 by Willow Tomey I'm new to controllerism and soon to buy a midi fighter classic. on the circuit board it has (my vocabulary is awful btw) an analogue expansion kit. i want to know if i can just solder on (for example) a rotary potentiometer straight to the board or if i need to put anything else on? (e.g. more circuit boards or wires etc.)any reply is greatly appreciated thanks | |

Katelyn Hoctor 04.04.2012 | you will need wires to add anything as all analogue controls have to go to ground, 5v and 1 of the A1-A4 slots of the board. for example for a standard potentiometer pin 1= ground pin 2= A1 pin 3 = 5v i hope this is of help to you, be aware rotary encoders need to go to a digital expansion pin as do buttons those pins only require ground no power |
