Midi Fighter 3D with VCI-400 EGE
Posted on: 28.04.2012 by Merry Piesik
Can anyone tell me if the MF 3D will work well with the VCI-400 EGE? I've run into issues before using Midi Fighters with other controllers with advanced mappings. I just don't know if the EGE's mapping and the 3D's will conflict in any way. Since both mappings are so complex I'm curious if I'd need to be prepared for lots of issues between them. I haven't learned how to map yet, so I'd be hesitant to buy the 3D if the standard mapping will cause issues with the EGE. Thanks all.

there might be some effects that are mapped twice, so you will have to press a MF button twice/3 times to get it to work (once to load the fx, 2nd time to get the specific amout (if any mapped), 3rd time to engage the fx)
An easy way to get around this is to map 1 button to reassign all the effects for the midi fighter,

and another button the vci400 to map all the effects back for the vci400.

I had a similar issue with the MF BM Pro, and just used 1 button to reset all my effects for whatever i was using (faders/IG Grid/Traktor S4 effects)
