MF 3D not recognized by MF utility...
Posted on: 02.06.2012 by Penelope Udave
Hey, so I just opened my MF3D, and, despite it's awesomeness, the MF utility won't recognize it, and continues to tell me to plug in a midifighter even if the 3d is attached. Suggestions?

on windows i had this issue by asking update too quickly twice, blocking the usb port.

on windows switching from software for reconfiguration of MF3D is showing well that mf utility is not nicely closely all the time the midi driver. so device cant be access after to other softwares

[edit] today plugging mf3D: device cant be seen also. Still a real trouble in the driver writting....

Im pretty sure it has to do with plugging
In the MIDI fighter before the utility is completely installed. I'm
Sure that's what caused my issue.

This is what I was told to do and it worked:

The first thing you can try is going to your audio midi setup ( you can search for that using spotlight). Click "Window" then select Show Midi Window.

You will now see a page which contains every midi controller you have ever connected. Look through this list until you find the 3D, once you find the entry for the 3D delete it. (the 3D will need to be disconnected for this to work)

Once it has been deleted connect your Midi Fighter and see if it now works.
